In January 2008, the Monotype Design Studio launched a new identity for Monotype. We took special care in this project to ensure the new look suited the company for years to come. At first we thought we would take a different direction than the "M," but through evaluating Monotype and its associates, assessing our clients' needs, and conducting competitor research, we have found the "M" does have importance. The new identity represents the company in every shape, line, curve, and color.
